I had a misfire code at the Fontana tour that taught me that when the CEL comes on midrun, the nannies can come back on. Hard lesson to learn on run #3 after a dirty #1 and #2....

I used back of pinch welds to ground to do mine.

Interesting, dead coilpack pulled power but left nannies off when I was tracking. Still enough to hamper a run though.

Long press TC-off for me, if auto-lsd is bothering you on an autox course you're likely way far out of shape to blame the TC system, turn-in rotation needs no help on my car and having EBD allow you to tap the brakes mid-corner and usefully slow/manipulate your trajectory has helped minimize the damage of a mistake.

If you do try pedal dance don't stab the brakes, ice mode will blow a corner real hard, but learning to b more progressive in brake application was a good thing to learn when I was messing with it.

Yeah in the video I can watch the TC lights go off when the CEL came on, then come back on, then go off, then come back on. All from the last sweeper into the 5 cone slalom before the finish.

I replaced all 4 coilpacks yesterday with new OEM. Hopefully won't have to worry about that for another 70k miles.

edit: if you see me at an event I also carry a spare new coilpack, and I always have an axle with me. Just replaced my passenger side axle last week after the clicking was pretty bad by the time I got home from Vegas.

I’m Brandon. Day 1 of the Texas Tour was a bit of a Texas gully washer. It was drying conditions all day and mostly dry at the end of 3rd heat. Then literally 2min before we run we get like 5” of rain in 10min.

All the single drivers were able to get a run in (none of the 2nd drivers even ran yet)before they stopped the even for like an hour because you couldn’t see other end of the course.

Luckily that gave me time to put the PS4S’ on. That was my first time to experience the magic of these tires, even though mine are about half tread left.

I pushed a little too hard my last run and hydroplaned into a cone then just went for it after that and hit 2 more cones lol.

But yes, everyone ran whatever tires they have because no Yokos in stock anywhere. I even called the discount tire main office and they said Yokohama doesn’t even have an eta on when they will have more yet.

And special congrats to David Powers on his first 1st place National autocross trophy!

He threw down the hammer on his last run on day 2.

Also Beeville Tx was an amazing site! LOTS of super grippy concrete. I will be back there next time they hold an event. It’s the closest thing to Lincoln concrete for anyone in Texas.

That would be me, thanks bud! You made it a good fight! Great weekend of running in all conditions.

Really had a tough time trying to get a new set of Yoko's for the event. Opted to run a new set of RT660's instead of a dead set of Yoko's. Saturday threw us a wrench as my codriver and I did not have a set of rain tires, we had to work with what we had. Closed the gap enough on Saturday to grab the win on Sunday.

You missed someone in Tulsa selling theirs off about a week ago. I'll keep an eye out on the OKC and NEOKLA FB pages for ya, but its going to be a longshot.

Bluegrass Stockyards in Central Kentucky has to be the bounciest venue I've ever been to.

I did terrible. (Car is classed as XA/SM, not STX)

National backorder per Yokohama until the fall.

I just received a set of the Nankang CR-1's from Phil's Tire Service.
