I used to use the phonetic alphabet for reading serial numbers to Lenovo techs back in the day. It was more fun to work something they weren't expecting in.

"Yeah, the serial is echo 1 3 7 7 9 0 bravo delta echo fishpockets."

"Okay, that's echo 1 3 7 7 9 0 bravo delta echo... what?"

OK, I took the two older granddaughters shopping (at Walmart of course ....) to buy Christmas presents for their parents and ma-ma. Yep, showed them the wall display in the "fine jewelry" section, where everything is $5 and told each of them to pick a present ....... money is no object ......

Their father was easy ...... a coffee mug and a trouble light ...... can never have too many of those .......

Now, it's time to corral the 1.5 year old and supervise her taking a nap ...... yep, tough duty ....... but somebody has to do it .......

Later

Garage
I5 southbound from JBLM to the Nisqually River is closed for the foreseeable future.
Northbound is clear sailing. Didn't take the train. Didn't crash.

Been watching the coverage all morning.
They've got some heavy, tracked cranes on scene, but they don't look tall enough to lift the hanging cars from the highway level.
Don't know where they are going to position them yet.

The blue car still on the tracks was the last car. Engines were on each end of the train.
The one on the left is the leading engine down on the freeway.
Was going from right to left in the photo.
Looks like it jumped the track going into the curve. Decided to go where it wanted.
