I'm sure that'll be even more prevalent once the 2021 models start rolling out.

i wish, but i dont think they will go much lower than that.

on a side note, sites like Autotrader is showing 552 active listing for new 2020s.

True. But for CPO, they could easily drop into the low $40s by winter.

Interesting comparison from an owner between his 2016 Cayman, 2017 911, 2017 Cayman S, 2018 Type R and a 2019 M2:

$47,430 was the price tag for the 2.0 w/ just safety & technology package
I wonder if the 2.0 will see the dealer markups like the 3.0 did. That might make a difference.

Hmmm. I can't believe he ended up choosing the Supra over the C8...kind of. (Watch the video.) I mean, I would too, but that's just 'cause I'm not a Vette guy.

However, he states in both his description and intro that they're both "under $60k" Uh...no. Chevy did state that the C8 was available at a base price of $59,995. However, I can't find anyone (video, forums, auto publications, etc) who got a C8 for under $60k. (Feel free to comment if anyone knows of someone who did.)

With that being said, I went into several auto sales websites - Cars.com, Autotrader, Cargurus, etc. in search of CPO/used C8s and 2020 Supras. I didn't find any C8 under $100K. Meanwhile, the 3.0 2020 Supra had plenty that were priced in the mid to high $40Ks already. Further emphasizing that the C8 is being sold (either spec'd or marked up) for well over that elusive $60K.

I know it seems like a cheap experiment, but I don't see how anyone could (and how most are) compare the two cars as apples to apples. Especially since they're priced way further apart in actuality than their marketing suggests.

Still, for anyone to be 'for' or even 'undecided' between the C8 and the Supra is a great compliment to Toyota and BMW.

I agree. Who would pay for a marked up 2.0 that is more expensive than the MSRP on 3.0? They wouldn’t.

Maybe the 2.0 will not only retain its price, but it could also act to keep the 3.0 from being marked up.

I almost feel like the mkv supra is helping to keep 86 resale value decent haha. It's a nice car but I couldn't justify spending +40k on one
