SCCA Solo class question

2 weeks ago I did my first event in my car, classed as C Street. I have trd sways and springs but apparently as long as it was the TRD stuff, I was OK to be in Street.

I just added 17x8 wheels, which is 1" wider than stock. Tires are 225/45. Can I still run as C street or have forced myself into a new class? If so which one? I have tried reading the rule book but i couldn't figure it out

you played yourself you are now in stx technically. if you arent competitive tho, no one will probably say anything. i swear at least 20% of the cars are classed wrong

You could have the beginnings of an SSC build going for you. You'll have to buy wheels again if you want to be competitive in STX as 9" wide wheels are faster.

SSC will have you buying new Eibach parts that may be identical to your TRD stuff, but you can probably get some of the money back selling the TRD parts.

Looking at the SCC build list, my wheels are +35 and it looks like +40 or greater is required. So sounds like I am kinda screwed there too

Pardon my ignorance but is novice considered its own class? When I registered for the event it asked for my class but I didn't see novice as a class

You can simply just run a 5mm spacer and be compliant.

Isn't running a spacer going to be add more negative offset? If I ran a 5mm spacer I would be effectively at +30, not +40.

your region might not have it. but it is anyone that wants to and there are no points or requirements to enter. they also will have good drivers out there to ride along and help you if you want to.
