Like an example, you cannot swap the gauges out. While few components in drivetrain can swap em out without an issue.

Just wondering... do you know whether or not there are new hardwired sensors to accommodate the new multi display in the cluster or is it just like from regular obd readings?

It's most likely a whole new harness and plug that won't be the same as the 13-16 models.

It is amusing, but you have to make some allowances for cultural differences and language translation. I bet a lot of American car marketing verbiage reads pretty weirdly in Japanese over there.
