I'm going to assume some of these parts can be swapped over. Maybe a minor adjustment to tunes?

Just wondering... do you know whether or not there are new hardwired sensors to accommodate the new multi display in the cluster or is it just like from regular obd readings?

Sorry, that one I do not know. I heard both... because, not all the sensors are from ECU. iirc there's 2nd sensor that they added in just for the gauge.

...but don't quote me on it. Cuz it was a damn while ago I learned all the detail info.

It's most likely a whole new harness and plug that won't be the same as the 13-16 models.

It is amusing, but you have to make some allowances for cultural differences and language translation. I bet a lot of American car marketing verbiage reads pretty weirdly in Japanese over there.

Deng. And I thought you knew everything! Time to just wait for the TRD parts to drop in price!

Time to wait for a 17+ then swap the whole entire engine, ecu, diff, and gauge over

Engineers use accelerometers to graph responses to standardized bumps etc. so this isn't subjective (although Subaru could have cherry-picked a specific test that showed the Cayman in the worst possible light).

I was reading a group test of sports cars in a decade-old R&T the other day (don't ask) which graphed the comparative responses to such a bump and what was intriguing was how Porsche engineers had made the 911 and the Cayman respond nearly identically to the bump. Variances between the other models were very substantial - by a factor of 2 to 3.
