CSG Brembo Brakes

I saw a 326mm front Brembo kit on CSG site. Do these brakes require spacer for stock wheels and are they lighter than stock brakes. They look like they use 1 piece rotors and 4 piston calipers

Thanks

Most sites also list contact page. It's worth using emails listed there to get info about some specific products. Brembo-s (unless some STI retrofits which i don't advise doing) are not the most common (probably due price) on toyobaru. Forum crowd might have less info on uncommon products then shop selling it.

Oh, ignore my comment. It seems that i was in impression you were asking of previous brembo kits offered by CSG, that costed $7.5-8.5K. I see they have added both front and rear brembo kits "Brembo GT System CSG-Spec" costing 1/4th of price of those and marked as *NEW*. At that price level they might get wider user base.
They list kit product numbers though, so you can try searching on those on eg. brembo site, to see if they have some BBK fitment templates to print out and check on your wheels.

I contacted CSG and spoke with Mike over the phone about the kit and it will require a 20mm spacer to fit stock wheels. They are lighter than stock brakes, but not AP Racing light. They include 1 piece rotors so cost of entry is lower and over time can be upgraded to 2 piece rotors to further reduce weight. The Brembo GT caliper allows for thicker pads. That's all the basic info. Would definitely recommend giving them a call to find out further details.

Well, what would you like to know? The kit overall is lighter; the rotors are heavier (they are, after all, much larger than stock). You will need a 20mm spacer to clear stock wheels. Maybe (speculated) 15mm for the 17 performance pack wheels.

Thanks for reply. I don't really need better brakes yet, but trying to identify options when I get to that point where I do need/want to upgrade.

Are there any wheels smaller than 18x9.5 that can clear these brakes without a spacer?

Absolutely.

17x8, 17x9 are popular options.

They are Brembo HP discs from their high performance division. The metallurgy is different from the standard off the shelf OE replacement, aftermarket tuner replacement, and even OEM application.

For anyone reading, these are the brakes the OP is asking about:

CSG Spec Brembo Big Brake Kit for Subaru BRZ / Toyota 86 / Scion FR-S

Great kit, but there's no one size fits all when it comes to brakes. CSG can steer you to the right solution based on your needs and budget
