Not sure about other world markets, but in AU my BRZ came with a full size matching alloy wheel with stock tire. It eats into boot space so was thinking of trying a space saver wheel instead.
Agree that the weight saving would be pretty minimal, but getting 20% of my boot back is appealing. That and having a flat boot floor too. Was thinking of checking with Subaru spare parts to see what they come out to costing as they're bound to stock them for other models and so should have one that fits ours. Figured I'd mention it as an option.

Yeah in Australia the older Toyotas also came with a full size spare, but now it's a no cost option if you choose it.
The problem I have found with space savers is that where I was from, I was often more than 150kms from the nearest town. And they are so restrictive on speeds and distance. Only really good in town. |

OT but, I wish people would actually pay attention to distance and speed ratings on the space saver spares. Nearly every day I see people driving on them almost bald or at full highway speeds. If you get behind them and they're doing anything over about 40mph you can see the car wiggling around. Scary...
