Does the FR-S OEM HU not have the lines for the backup camera?

AFAIK the BRZ OEM HU makes the lines for the camera which can't be disabled, so you're stuck with them if you run any other video through that connection.

ya i didn't either. i just took my sweet time. the relay (even with guides) took me lil 5 hours to figure out. i made sure to test everything step by step so i cudnt mess too much up. and having a tester helps too

nope. FRS lines are camera dependent. i can disable mine by just attaching 2 wires. i thought BRZ had an option to disable them somewhere hidden?

Thanks for the shout out bud, glad my ramblings and diagrams helped someone. Been working on a 4-way video input setup. Auto rear-view camera, hidden a/v mode unlocked vs aux mode for a console with a switch for a DVD player, and a phone mirroring mode via MHL/HDMI downscaled to VGA on another switch utilizing back-up camera mode, all with sound working and controlled by one 4-pos rocker switch. If I ever get the time to finish, I'll make a diagram in case you want to try some additional wizardry. Clean job btw!

Hmm, Doing a PS3 would also make you have a blueray and dvd player.

amazing work, and thanks for the guide, now it's time to search if it's posible to eliminate the "checking surround" message.

thats linked to the backup camera feed i used so most likely not. i do no with the canadian version of our 2013 Bespoke (not bespoke there) u can wire in a true video feed and not have that message, so maybe u can with the 2014 too, but i already had this all setup and didn't have any pins for connectors

Thinking about doing this with my 360 as well since I never use it lol, the hardest part would getting enough power back there. Controllers are wireless so it's just less wires you gotta run haha
