I also hope some of the more critical youtubers are there, but I'm not counting on it. I think we need to wait for the cars to hit the press fleet before we get any reliable feedback, from C&D or MotorTrend comparisons, Everyday Driver, savagegeese, etc.

I just realized the slide says "ride along". I wonder if anyone is actually driving this yet to share feedback. IIRC, they did a "ride along" for the 1st gen, too; that's where we got the initial interior shots from the 1st gen (but those were still in camo cars).
Hopefully it is just bad translation, I know the Japanese often say "ride" when they mean "drive".

Thanks for clarifying where that came from.
Seems like a waste of time to even have media there if they can't drive it. This car is all about the driving feel; I doubt anyone is going to get excited by the specs. Everyone's youtube video is going to be the exact same!

Definitely something people don’t really think about buying used. I feel like the longer you intend to keep a car and drive it hard, the more it makes sense to buy new for reliability and peace of mind.

Still no points for the made by Subaru and built in Gunna plant since those were never in doubt by anybody other than that one dude. You edited the specs on the engine? I don't recall that level of detail way back when you first showed this. Progressive editing is a foul since it does not show what your first thoughts were but what developed as things progressed. I am totally guessing but think you may be just a bit low on the prices.

Yeah, I've pretty much bought used my entire life except one car in college when I was tired of dealing with never ending project type cars.
As I got older, I valued low miles, dealer records, one owner, cars and actually buying it from the owners so I could vet them out. Doing so led me to some nice cars, and I saved a ton of money, but I think I'm at the point in life where I want a new car that I can comfortably afford and operate and just have fun with under the radar. I don't need to keep up with the youtube bros. |
