Question:

Sounds like the catbacks will fit on all years including the 2022 models. If i were to get lets say a midpipe from a 2016 and fit that to the front pipe, it would make sense that an axelback for the 2016 would then fit correctly?

Reason i ask, Nameless performance makes the best sounding exhaust imo. They do not have any 2022 exhausts yet however i know i can get an old gen midpipe pretty easily. So if that were to fit to the front pipe no problem, i should be able to then just buy the Nameless system and have no issues...is the hope.

Most likely yes, however a few members have noted that some exhausts interfere with some of the lower rear bumper aero underneath the car, right by the axleback flange.

It was the xforce catback specifically. Sounds like it sticks out more to the side than the OEM flange location. With an OEM midpipe you’d likely be okay.

I have test fitted the FA20 header from FT86Motorsports.com, FTSpeed, HKS, Gruppe-s, and Tomei. On our shops 2022 BRZ with no fitment issues.

Hey all,

I wanted to cross post this here: https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...&postcount=252

Been watching review of the prior gen catbacks installed on the 2022. Many videos have the same issue of exhaust tip / muffler alignment. See linked post for specifics.

Are there any subtle changes in the exhaust hanger locations on the 2022? I'll look for more examples if there is interest... or unless anyone has data points about alignment, mounting locations, etc. and wants to share.

I noticed that inlet pipe of old models is on the side, while it's in the middle in the 2022 model.
Do you know what changes in terms of performance and sound?
