At the risk of being flamed horrendously, I will state that I firmly believe anyone who thinks this car doesn't have enough power to be enjoyable on the street can't drive.

100% agree

But then, I had fun in old Datsun 1000 which had maybe, maybe, 50kw and no torque.

I've never noticed the torque dip, but the car is certainly slow in the slow stuff. The car is peaky, so you will see some course dependency compared to other cars.

I do find the car moderately annoying on the street in heavy traffic because you do have to be pretty aggressive to merge and hit openings and whatnot. People notice that and eff with you.

On track it's not really an issue.

In autoX, it's not THAT bad, there'll be one place per course that you end up at the bottom of 2nd and won't get much drive out, but whatever.

On the street it's the MOST annoying by far.

The guy is use to a pinata, this car is fine with or without the torque dip in comparison to that.

It's not a dip at 4krpm, it's a magical boost at 2-3krpm. I thank science every day for this logic defying miracle.

An interpretation of the torque dip.

if you think the twins are bad to drive on the street I'd hate to see what you'd think about an echo, yaris, civic, etc.

The car is great. Perfect mix of good handling and actual usable functionality. Being able to commute and get great gas mileage is a benefit.
