Yep. Gonna stick to the monster truck look for this year though. I must say it s
Is sort of nice not having to come to a complete stop for speed bumps and needing to calculate approach angles for slopped driveways.

The crickets will appear and disappear seemingly at random in my ‘16 FRS. I haven’t heard them in a while, so my theory is winter blend gasoline makes the crickets show up. I always fill up with 93 octane.

And a side note, does the “Top Tier” designation mean anything with gasoline? I usually fill up at Valero, and they have Top Tier on the pumps. Other stations don’t have that.

I've been filling up at Costco for the past year or so. The Costco gas says it's 91 at my local store.

No crickets yet. Fingers crossed.

What model year do you have? Hopefully the crickets will stay away!

I've noticed that the loudness of the fuel pump chirping is relative to the quality of the fuel you are using. Not necessarily the octane, but the level of additives and ethanol the company adds to their gasoline. Chevron tends to give me the best (quietest) results, whereas AM/PM gas is the worst (loudest.) Costco tends to have the higher qualities of fuel, and cheapest.

This could be true because when I add Lucas fuel treatment the crickets are gone or are less. No I do not work for Lucas, but have used it here or there on my 04WRX where I can get 2mpg more with it.

I get zero crickets on E95, almost straight no chaser ethanol.

2014 here and mine doesn't chirp. Now, if I go to a specific gas station, it starts to chirp.
