Which susposed to equal 750rwhp but I have no idea if it has that. Flat foot shifts are super fast.
Have you driven anything running high boost (30+ psi) and significant intercooling before? It's not about how quick you shift. Pressure has to be rebuilt. Alternatively, you can just live with destroying turbos regularly and/or blowing off charge pipes (and by default losing the pull).

My supra does 60-130 in low 7's. The BRZ does 60-130 mid 15's.

I'd guess the BRZ would need to be north of 600whp with a corresponding transmission, driveshaft, differential, and axles, along with drag radials, just to be even with the Supra.

Even then, those would be very abusive shifts, anti-lag, etc.

2. Which is the better value for money in your opinion? It sounds like you’ve put a bit of money into the BRZ. Is it worth it for the performance gains or are you better off going with a factory solution like the Supra?
1. I'd sell the BRZ; the Supra's ceiling is simply higher for a street car. At an extreme unlimited budget level, the BRZ's ceiling is higher.

2. The Supra is a better value, even at more than 2x the price, if and only if you plan on modding it. 600+hp with less than $2000 put in is very real with the Supra.

Sounds like you already know the advantages of an auto vs manual then!

Try turning off other channels so you can get your polling rate up, and you'll see the drops.

Compare MAF vs MAP readings to validate actual flow.

That would translate to roughly 8.4 at 160 in the 1/4

Light years faster than the fastest A90's out there.

600HP sounds great. Cruising at 60 then drop the hammer. How long until the boost kicks in, yo? How long until the acceleration hits hard? A second? Downshift, revs build, boost builds, then blam?

On the A90? in 4th at 60, per logs, from a sustained full lift to full power is typically 0.18 to 0.22 seconds. Transient is faster since there's less pressure to build and the turbo is already spinning much faster.

I also have rolling launch, so I have full boost without accelerating, and can launch with zero spoolup time.

is it possible to make that much power carb legal on an a90? I just sold my brz for a c6 to make that kind of power...still have the elise though

The only CARB legal power is stock. However, you can make maybe 20hp less on a stock cat compared to catless... and still pull on a C6Z with ease.

Would the stock exhaust system (with cat deleted ) of the brz affect much in terms of both performance and reliability standpoint?

Thanks for the answer, Mike. A90, yes. Hiw about cruising in 8th then drop the hammer. Already having shifted to 4th doesn't count. I want to know response from off boost and off gear since that's where I am most of the time on the street. I read the transmission can shift from 8th to 4th no problem. 200ms, but then that will probably delay building boost even more. Responsiveness compared to an EV is what I care about.

Stock top gear 50 to 70 is 2.8 seconds. Model y is 2 seconds. Do mods knock a half second off that, or is it a lot of shift time?
