86 GTS HID Headlights Point Too Low

I drive a Toyota 86 GTS from Australia. Our cars are specced with HID xenons and LED DRL's.

My problem (and also a lot of fellow owners' problem) is that our headlights point far too low, making the total reach on flat ground maybe 10-20 metres. At night time, I can barely see anything ahead, even on flat ground.

Is there any way we can adjust these headlights to make them point up more and therefore project further?

I know in the FRS and GT models there is a manual headlight levelling switch next to the steering wheel column, however our GTS headlights come with automatic headlight adjustment and therefore that manual levelling switch isn't there... and the auto headlight adjustment keeps pointing it down too much :/

I thinks that's how the car is. I thought that the headlights were pointed too low even at the highest setting (highest being 0).

pop your hood and look behind your headlight housing. there should be an 8mm or 10mm hex head with a phillips in the middle (it is plastic on the BRZ). clockwise brings it down and counter clockwise raises it I believe. it is best to do it at night with your headlights pointing at a wall so you can see the cutoff moving up and down.

Wasn't there autoleveling, that needed adjustable aftermarket bit (by cusco or DIY), for cases where car height was lowered?

What this person said above. I had my headlights replaced under warranty and the tech didn't even know about the manual adjustments. I had to do it myself.

Ok I had a look and tried my best to find aforementioned hex head but found nothing. All I found was a slothead thingy (pointed to it in my attached pic).
Am I looking in the wrong place? Or maybe it's just a BRZ thing?
Attached is a pic of what I looked at (headlight housing behind left headlight)

Eureka! That's the one.

Here's a video.

The stock headlights has a plastic knob instead of metal in the video.

Thanks a lot for your help! Just tried it and am so happy with the results. I should've done this ages ago!!

Everyone should do this if they feel that their headlights point too low! Super super easy to do and very worth the 5 minutes
