BRZ :(
So last Wed I took my BRZ to Bob Baker Subaru to get my new fuel pump installed. Took the dealer 2 hours to install it which wasn't bad. Drove it around that night. On my way home that night my car was acting funny and wouldn't get into gear correctly. Next thing I know I was smelling gas inside my car and when I came to a stop light, flames were coming up out of the hood of my car.
Its been a week since this happened and I'm still not getting any information from the dealership about anything. All I've heard was that Subaru was supposed to send someone out to look at it and nothing else. This is what was left of my car. Last edited by JCW; 01-26-2013 at 10:15 PM. |

It really sounds like a bad install, dealership could be very liable here.

Wow. I thought Ferrari already copyrighted fiery death...
You have every chance of getting a new car back and one hell of a story to tell. I'm glad you're ok to enjoy that. Maybe even some monetary compensation on top from the dealer for your trouble and drama. Good luck. |
