ST are fine for track, stiffer than most lowering springs. Plus they are linear, better feel and more predictable.

You don't need ridiculously stiff springs for the FRS/BRZ for track use. Most people who are lapping aren't experienced enough nor using sticky enough tires to run 8k+. Even from lowering springs to middle of the line coil overs showed very little improvement (minus, height adjustable, "stiffness" dampening) in lap times.

Arguing the semantics between the lower end brands is just that. It's opinion based on whomever bought them before you. Just find a spring rate that you'll be happy with for 90% of your driving and get it from a well known brand (not going to knock upcoming brands, just makes life less complex to use a tried and test option).

I bought ST's based on the company they are with (KW), they are valved very well, and use linear 4k/5k springs. In which in my research is more than fine for an entry level driver. Once I grow of of them and get more competitive Ill be upgrading to a higher level system along with tires, etc.

Just my opinion though

I ended up going with ST. They are great in my book. Only had them on for a few days and haven't had time to dig into them yet. Great buy if anyone is still on the fence. Handling and comfort are great!

I won't be getting rid of the V3's anytime soon. They're perfect for what I use it for and if I do a spirited drive, I'll just go up a few clicks on rebound and be set. Most people who own these never have any negatives about them. They simply upgrade to a track only setup which is completely different. The V3's balance street and track about as perfect as you can get.
What's the min and max drop on these coilovers?

The FA500s with swift springs arent bad. But for the money I much prefered my stock struts on RCE yellows for the same type of driving you will be doing

I'm DD'ing with BC Racing Extreme Lows. 8k front and back. I have the rates at 8 click from softest in the front and 10 clips for the rear. Though I prefer my stiffness all the way up, this was a lot more comfortable for my girlfriend though is still stiffer than stock ride. The height adjustment is whatever the coilovers were pre-set to.
