Valenti 4th brake light vs Valenti Style brake light?

Hey guys, just wanted to ask if there was any difference and if anyone had pictures of either of the two I'm listing (smoked, clear white or red)

I saw on fteightysix they have these lights:

http://www.fteightysix.com/products/...ubaru-brz.html

which are valenti style knock offs i guess?

then versus the actual valenti:

http://www.modbargains.com/valenti-l...subaru-brz.htm

My question is what are the difference? the actual valenti's say no check engine light, would the knock offs give me a CEL? can they both give me the running light, brake light, and reverse? any additional info is appreciated!!

And if anyone bought this one:

http://www.fteightysix.com/products/...ing-brake.html

can you comment as well? THANK YOU!

I have a replica but not that one. Mine didn't have the f1 style flasher($15 on Amazon) like the real valenti but no CEL here. I got mine from iJDMtoy.com

I got the smoked variant from ModBargains. It has the flashing brake light and required slight re-wiring to have just the "V" turn on with the parking and headlights, and for the triangle to be on only when braking (five minutes of work with soldering).

No CEL, zero electrical issues and great customer service.

thanks for the info, i was looking into this one as well, just curious you said you had to re-wire it to do certain things,

i just wanted the V part to stay one while I'm driving, and the triangle part to flash 3 times and then go solid when i brake and the reverse lights to work. to my understanding i wouldn't need to rewire anything for that right? or are you saying that that would need to be rewired..are there instructions for rewiring?

Ask the vendor. I'm sure there are instructions to do that or a diy online. Mine(replica) had directions for that, minus the flash cuz I had to get a separate module to do that

If you want what's bold then you will most likely need to re-solder two wires. It is a simple process with plenty of tutorials online.

Yes, that is exactly what I wanted as well. I purchased mine from Modbargains and it required the soldering mod (most of the Valentis and Valenti replicas will require it, to my knowledge).
The goals of this are to: give the triangle power only when brakes are applied, and to give the V power with the headlights. I will find the link that Sean from Modbargains sent me with the tutorial and post it here.
