So, once again they said that Subaru was going to stay true to their heritage, and put a turbo. Of Coarse their will be a turbo version at some point, just not at launch. Excite everyone, then fulfill the hearts of everyone with turbo versions in the future. Idk about Toyota, cuz, I mean, what was the last car in North America with a turbo with a Toyota/Scion badge from factory?

That'd be interesting, Scion FR-S supercharged and the Subaru BRZ turbocharged. Now that, would be amazing.

I would be ok if the STI version lost about 100 to 150 pounds...like some carbon fiber or more aluminum in the body structure and lightweight forged rims.

instead of power increase, I want weight reduction.

I want both. Less weight and a 15-20% bump in power, plus higher redline.

I dont think Toyota has any say on how Subaru further develops the BRZ.

I completely missed this thread.... the car looks awesome!! Though I've noticed where the BRZ lacks in looks up front (happy faced car) the FT86 makes up for it.. and where the 86 lacks in the rear the BRZ evens the scale. You think the designers were just trying to separate both cars as much as possible while still remaining similar in shape? If that makes sense... lol

I know man, but it seems like you can get it from a 22k-ish car, at least not in a stock form.
