What if that price is for a base FB20 with no D4-S or Yamaha tunings?

If anything, the Scion would cost the same or a couple hundred LESS no?
I mean, it doesn't make any sense for a Scion to cost more than a Subaru, right?

Why would it not come with those two items? The research and development's already done. Wouldn't omitting these items be even more costly since you would have to test a different car?

If it comes in at under $20grand I'm sold, even without the turbo. As long as they fix the rear tail lights, lol.

Not omitting entirely, just offering a base model coupe with less power for fuel efficiency or strictly style purposes. Seems to work for the Mustang, and if the mounts and everything line up, why not? Just throwing it out there.

Even with ugly tails, I could live with that. Overlay or aftermarket should do the trick.

However, I fear that, as with all things Subaru, the 19k model will probably be very basic and then tack on another 6k-8k or so for the good stuff. Remember this isn't mono-spec, pure-price Scion. I guess we'll see what happens.

Nope, not happening. They already have other plan as is. They're not going to waste time on to make ECU work for both w D4-S & w/o D4-s

What good stuff would you be referring to? Kinda curious now; are the really basic Subarus that bad?
