Every tire is a compromise.
If escaping the area is a constant significant concern, runflats are a fair compromise. But one you didn't raise originally-- you first said the flats were local, and after everyone was moving back and shifting debris. I would also suggest that you consider running some sort of flat prevention goop in the tires as well. It will make them heavier, and shops generally charge more to deal with the mess, but poses the advantage of sealing around small leaks from screws, so one doesn't lose all the air out of the tire.

I wonder though for how many people "escaping area" is essential/common enough issue. Dying while changing punctured tire also was brought up later on, initially it was "inconvenient"

I got a C- in Spanush!?
Serious note, runflats are a compromise. I have no experience with having a flat with them, but I'm sure you really want to "get out of danger" you would need rims like a real humves that have aluminum or magnesium runflat inserts. |
