OFT Flex Fuel Kit or Delicious Tuning? - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

I was wondering what the differences are between both kits and which would be better? I’m currently running Stage 2 UEL Headers on 93 Octane tuned with my OFT. Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Firstly, there is no "Flex fuel kit" for OFT. You just flash an e85 tune (along with steps for getting the 91/93 out of the gas tank) and go.

I thought you needed a tune, along with a flex fuel kit?

Isn't this the flex fuel kit for OFT?
(correct me if I'm wrong, I don't have OFT but eventually want to go the e85 route)

There is a flex fuel kit but you don't need it to run e85. You can just do what BigTuna said or take it a step further with the e85 kit you mentioned.

To answer your main question, Delicious tune.

To the OP, I ran e85 with the OFT (without the flex fuel kit) and I definitely noticed the hp bump while driving. It's a lot cheaper than a flex fuel kit too, since you already have the OFT, it's free to swap over.

I understand but e85 isn’t readily available in my area so I rather have the flex fuel kit than having to flash back each time and running my tank to almost empty. Thanks for your input though I see where you’re coming from. I just would like to know which is better or if it doesn’t really matter.

I'm in the same boat as the OP. Is Delicious the only way to go for a quick switch from 93 to E85?

Delicious tuning all the way. I’m currently doing tune revisions for my delicious flex fuel kit with Zach. I’m already on my 10th revisions, OFT would be like getting the original tune and live with it the rest of the way, no revisions no logging. It’s easier and cheaper but not the best solution imo.

Thank you. Does the Delicious Tuning kit require a EcuTech tune in order to work properly? I was hoping to avoid the high cost of the ET by going with the Open Flash.

Yes it does require ecutek cable and license

Ive had the OFT flex fuel kit for about two years now. Ive never had any problems and every time I send shiv a email I get a response back quick.
