Yukikaze: A Crystal White Pearl 2018 Ts Build

I kicked 2018 off with a bang loosing my '13 Turbo Breezy which was blown and burned early April. Due to the blown engine, mods, fire and the fire department royally fucking up my body (cut the hood/bumper off) insurance made it a living hell to the point where I gave in and am moving on.

I had a hard time buying another BRZ at first but, after a month of looking at the 981 Cayman GTS and 997.2 911 prices, I had to swallow the fact that they are simply just too much for me right now. Certainly too costly if I hope to get the out to the track. I crossed the Elise/Exige off the list for the same reason. Enter round 2. Enter the Ts.

Her replacement, with the help of a few forum members (@Veloist -thanks for help locating the car,) is a 2018 BRZ Ts. #0151

I've dubbed her Yukikaze (雪風) or "Snow Wind." Aiming high and setting the theme or rather the goals echoing Bulletproof Automotive's Kamikaze-R or the JP Varis X HKS Kamikaze GT-R. I've removed Kami, god-devine-spirit from the name -I'd rather this vehicle not follow my 2013's deathwish. In it's place is Yuki, referencing it's snow-white CWP finish. It's doesn't hurt that it is also a nod to one of my favorite OVA and Novel, Sentō yōsei yukikaze and the famed Japanese Kagerō-class destroyer.

So far I'm quietly breaking her in and enjoying the new changes the refresh and STI have brought to the car. I'd almost be 100% content with leaving the chassis alone in the car had they not left the horrible wheel gap. Maybe some JDM STI pinks will be enough. Mods from the past car will slowly trickle over in anticipation for a date with Full Blown Motorsports and boost...

Christ, dude. Sorry to hear about your loss. Any idea what caused the engine to blow?

At least that Ts is looking pretty.
