I just got a little confused when you were talking about how adding more wire would do the same thing as a resistor. Sorry if I sounded rude.

Not yet from what i've seen since it requires cutting the factory harness...I'm not gonna touch mine at all...I may attempt to make an adapter harness that takes over the function however

i'm not going to make any non-reversable modifcations. i'll wait and see what people come up with.

I was thinking about this on the way home tonight and might give it a shot tomorrow evening if I have time or maybe this weekend. I did this to my 240 back when I still had it. I'm going to follow the same guide and hope that all the wiring are the same. Granted I'm not electrical expert so hopefully I don't fk something up. here is the guide that I am going to use. Anyone with some knowledge please chime in before I screw something up. Thanks

That's awesome. Great job.

What kind of bulbs are you running in the front and write-up? Been pretty busy with work so haven't had a chance to try it.

Has anyone worked up a harness so we don't have to cut the factory wires?

This is what i want as well. Has anyone accomplished this? Runs white but blinks amber in sync with the front turn signals.

I put some thought into doing this while I was swapping out my sidemarkers for clear ones last weekend, and while it's possible, it's definitely not a simple job...

You can buy 194 switchback LED bulbs that can operate as both white or amber, but in order to get it to switch from white to amber or vice versa, the bulb relies on swapping the +/- polarity to do so.

To the best of my knowledge, as far as circuitry goes you'd have to do this via a double pole double switch relay. This doesn't even begin to get into the whole re-wiring aspect of things without a simple harness to do the job.

Even with my engineering background, my electrical knowledge is pretty slim. Anyone else care to dig further into the feasibility of this?

Check out the TapTurn relay. It may help with any led, lighting, or syncing issues.

hope this helps. I also want to know if anyone has accomplished this.
