Hey Ayrton,

Only a pleasure, and thank you for the support.
I'm glad to hear you are happy with the new setup of the car, wishing you many happy miles!

Hopefully get a dyno run in tomorrow but on the road it feels fantastic.

I'm glad the tune has met your expectations.
We have quite a few new features within our Rev3 development, including dual DBW/throttle driveability options with having VSC either on and off.
Enjoy the car, and I hope it gives you many safe happy miles.
There should be an update available very soon for improved fuel economy. I will also be preparing settings for exhaust popping and/or flame throwing on overrun for customers who have been putting forward such crazy requests...lol

All the best!

Regards,
Marco

I'm not interested in the flame-thrower options,... but interested in the tune and exhaust options... anyone else have some STD dyno and after-the-tune-and-upgrades-and-stuff dyno's to compare?

Since he was asking on the "Phoenix Performance - Tuning and products in SA" I think he was specifically refering to us

Is Phoenix Performance still a forum registered Vendor?

That's not a malicious question btw

Theres a real stingey dyno here in cpt which Dammod and I both use and a bone stock 86 dyno's 118-119FWkW there. After drop in filter and Phoenix tune I got 126kWKW.Changed the exhaust which bumped the power to 131FWKW. The overall numbers are not that important to me but rather the % gain which Im very happy with.

You have to use the same dyno for comparison purposes.

Agreed on the dyno... it;s not the nominal number, but the increase you get (+ efficiency, reliability etc). It'll also change on different days with different temperatures etc too.

10% increase from stock is not bad at all.

Having a improvement in power is great, but its the safety which is probably the biggest bonus.

Every single stock map car is detonating HORRENDOUSLY on our pump fuel, well at least, every single one of the stock-tune 20+ cars I've logged. This causes inconsistent performance, not to mention the impact on our bearings and pistons, direct injectors etc.

By "inconstant" performance, I mean one day you will leave home and your car feels like a machine, pulling well, responsive etc and then another you will put your foot down and nothing will happen.
Sitting at traffic lights and pulling away, the car feels sluggish etc...this all mainly due to detonation on the stock tune with our pump fuel.

That is actually because of Timing Compensation(IAT), basically a safety measure that pulls timing based on intake temps(heat soak in traffic) to prevent detonation.

Almost all the cars I've logged were running IAM +-0.7

Sav, that's the idea behind those tables but there is only so much it can do. I can confirm via a professional knock box that it is real det being experienced in stop-go traffic type scenario's, but as you mentioned, those tables are meant as a preventative measure - just not as effective as we would like to believe.
