Gotta admit, it looks a hell a lot better than the revised 86 front end.

IDK, it looks real good live. Maybe it's the angles. Will need to see it in person to make a decision.

Seeing the photos, makes my point of how good it looks, I think this is a home run in the redesign, from front to back. Just the steering wheel controls are awful. Such a great job and great that the 86 name is on this! Toyota will sell a lot more than the current model. Great job Toyota!

When I look at the photos then read your remarks I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or you're a toyota design employee. Oh well guess everyone has their different tastes.

We've spent several days bitching about the front end, which personally, can eat my shorts.

Now time to bitch about the interior. Boring is the word for it.

What's that logo in center of steering wheel ? Looks like three Zeros and a T. Sure does not appear as an 86 logo to me.
Edit...well, seems they've raised that lettering opposite from the fender badge...confuses the onlooker for sure.

Total lack of color contrast in the interior materials. I totally miss the red stitching. Now the interior begs for choice of colors, not just one.

One touch I do like. That fuzzy material on the passenger side dash. Nice place for the passenger to deposit their boozers easily. Not.

Overall, like most others, I'll wait and see. Most important to me is...does the car drive better than before ?.. If the manual gearing is better, if it seems to have a little more power, >>if they've done something to improve the power steering feel<<, I'd overlook what the car looks like. Wish they'd build in adjustments for camber and caster as well...good luck on that one.

Can I see the exterior color chart for the 2018 Model ? I'm ready to order now.

Not in MY2017, at least in former Scion land, they've already said it will be monospec until MY2018.

The 86 logo has been with the car since day one. Hell it's even on the "zenki" piston badge

Or have you just not noticed?

Thanks for posting this Zaku.

I've changed my mind. It looks A LOT better in the video than in the render. I think they made the car look more high end than the previous version. Even the grille is more appealing seeing it from a more reasonable angle (instead of downwards looking up as in the render). Now my only gripe is the 86 badge on the fender, but that is really minimal. Now I eat crow and say good job to Toyota.
