86 Software Update - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

So I had my Software updated on Friday at McCarthy Toyota Blouberg Strand, and boy what a differences, consistent power trough the entire curve, engine tone has also changed quiet a bit.

what is you experience with the update?????

You don't happen to see a version number on your invoice or have an ecutek cable do you?

sorry no, the update was free so no invoice, as its an update from Toyota and my car still under warranty

Come on bro we need details. Avoid the ^ skepticism. I'm a bit skeptical but kinda hopeful too. Go to the dealer and ask for a record of the service performed and if it was a tsb bulletin etc

Had mine done a week ago and I can't honestly say that I'm noticing any difference.

when did you have it done, the dealer where i was only got the update on Monday the 8th April 2013, i know that Rayn also had his software updated, and as far as i understand he hase same results as myself
