I was wondering about this, too. I assume this is right - the autos have the rivets at all trim levels because they're part of the Subaru safety features that the manuals don't get. I also assumed those include rear parking sensors, which is unfortunate, since I'd have liked the parking sensor.

One of the videos out there talked about it, can't remember which. Automatic cars get eyesight, lane change assist, adaptive cruise, rear vehicle detection, etc. Manual cars do not.

Oil temp, yes, you can pull it up through OBD or through a 2017+ digital cluster. Pressure no unfortunately, the pressure sensor is a dumb low pressure switch. Hopefully that changes with the 2022 but I suspect it won’t.

I have nothing against the safety features. From an aesthetic standpoint, I just wish they could come up with a better way to integrate parking sensors without adding "rivets" to the bumper.

Unfortunately there really isnt a way. Unlike hiding a sensor in the front grille somewhere (which you can see when up close but cant when far away) theres nothing transparent to hide the sensors behind in the rear.

I guess you can hide them in the blackness of fake rear vents or in the diffuser or whatever "sporty" blacked out details there are, but you gotta make sure the sensors arent blocked by any of the design. But they might be too low and can be more easily damaged by road debris.
