This weekend went about how I expected - I don't have much time at Inde and it's a pretty technical track with elevation change and some weird corners. My main competition - Nic in a Z4 - has a pretty good amount of time at this track since he is friends with a member and overall a great driver.

Friday I was able to put about 85mi on the track in the config we'd be running Saturday. The TT warmup session on Saturday was red flagged after a lap due to a fire, but I was able to get a look at Nic's line and use him as a rabbit in the first competition session.

An effort was made but I ended up missing out on first by .3s, though we were both under the old TT5 record by a full 3 seconds. Somehow my car ended up weighing about 20lb lighter than it has in the past - I blew weight by 2lb but was given a one time pass due to it being the first competitive session of the weekend and less than 5lb. I'm not sure if this is just a rule we have in our region or if it is normal across all of the NASA groups.

I overfilled the car to the point that gas was backed up in the fill port, ran a three lap second session, and then weighed but I still came out with just a 18lb buffer or something. Pretty much meant I couldn't treat the rest of the sessions that day as full practice sessions or I'd under-weigh again and DQ the whole day.

Finished second out of seven.

On Sunday we switched configs again, unfortunately. I only ended up running the first session, but sucked at driving so I once again ended up second place to Nic by about half a second, five drivers total. The second session was red flagged after two laps due to another fire.

All in all, I can't really complain - the car worked great all weekend. There is a lot of time for me to find on this track going forward.

I switched to the GLoc R12/R10 setup this weekend from CSG C2 and it completely cured the tendency for the car to snap to oversteer on trail brake entry. They felt great and had a tad less initial bite, which I consider to be a plus. If they have any downsides - and to be clear, none of these matter to me or detract from running them again - it'd be that they dust like mad, they do squeal a bit, and they probably won't last nearly as long as the CSG.

Anyway, here is the quickest lap from Saturday... not very good, got out driven for sure. Early apexing all over the place and staying too tight - it's really easy to get lost here with the blind hills.

The more gradual bite is a hallmark of G-locs makes them easier to modulate. Thats key to a gradual release which is what allows the driver to finely control entry yaw angle right up to the tires optimum slip angle without going over. For drivers accustomed to more abrupt pads, it takes a session or two to fully take advantage of.
