Video. White smoke in engine bay. Car sat for a few weeks.

Car has not been driven in a few weeks.
Drove it for 10 minutes.
Parked and opened the hood to attach battery tender

Smoke.
Is that some oil down on the exhaust ?

Is this a common thing?
What do I do from here?

Seems like it's burning off condensation and maybe a drip of oil. I wouldn't worry. Drive it for a half hour and have it idle, see if it's still smoking. If it continues to smoke, look underneath at the valve cover on the passenger side to see if it's leaking.

More than likely the cam plate at the back side of the motor is leaking. I’ll link a replacement, you can look for the oem one on the back side and see if you see it.

Has anyone repaired the OEM cam plate by creating a new RTV bead?
The trick seems to be to hand tighten and let it set for 24 hours before torquing down?
If so, what sealant did you use?

Here is a photo of my cam plate.

Has anyone gotten an RTV re-do to work?

For those who have messed around with RTV solutions.
should I skip that whole thing, and just get a 3rd party o-ring plate ?
If so, which one?

Just got this again in 2024 after sitting a lot this summer.
Last time, it just resolved on it's own
