there is a benefit to paying a little more for better quality outlets. for anyone with babies/toddlers, i highly recommend the tamper resistant outlets. i installed them throughout my house just because i'm a child at heart.

but there is no benefit to paying over $5 for any of those options.
Good stuff.

The perils of owning an electric car and living in a city. Today I saw many with cables trailing across the pavement with the socket ends sticking out in the line of traffic. Just needs one careless cyclist to get caught in the tangle..

I thought about installing the tamper resistant outlets. Previous owner put them in the kitchen, and I hate them. Feels like the outlet is broken most of the time trying to insert a plug, so I'm just going with quality standard plugs. I have no small children.

The most expensive ones I bought are the ones I put in a couple locations where we charge electronics that have the plugs and 2 USB ports. They are a pain to install because they are so big. They take up the entire box.

Watching the Boise holiday parade on local TV this morning. Car clubs, high school band, people on horses. Very small town. So cute.

That is an excellent point. At best, I disagree with choosing style over function. I'm more inclined to believe that it wasn't even considered.

Copper's worth way more than its weight in pennies. Won't be long before it becomes a thing.
