We did. This video is an install guide for the product, not an instructional guide for how to bleed the coolant system.

To the OP TY for this posting. This seems like a better way to install over the other options out there.

Why not T into that line so the TB still gets coolant? I have to wonder if your IAT's went up.

wow. wish I had seen this sooner. bought all the stuff to do it the other way (http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50427)

Going to set it up this way, seems much simpler. Maybe I can return all the unused bits...

The throttle body still gets coolant. The oil cooler is connected in series with the TB.

@The Sentinel - can you clarify which hose goes where or if it matters?

Doesn't matter which way around you put them. All it does is invert the direction of flown through the cooler.

also, out of curiosity, whats the order of the series? As in, which gets cold coolant first, TB or cooler?

What are the lengths of those hoses?

also upon further inspection I've found that one of the oil cooler barbs is a 1/2" while both of the throttle body fittings are 3/8". Does the kit include a step down fitting? Doesn't look like it... just shoving a 3/8" hose on the 1/2" barb?

I didn't measure the hose lengths exactly, but all up about 2 meters of hose is required.

As for the barbs, the kit comes supplied with high quality staleness hose clamps, so the slight size difference isn't an issue. We figured that adding additional joints increases the risk of future leaks.

This seems so much simpler compared to the directions on the other Forester FA20 DIT thread mentioned above. I may consider doing a complete coolant drain before doing the install to minimize the amount of coolant lost.

Can someone post the link to the website that the kit can be found at? I tried from the link previously provided and get no oil cooler kits
