I’m considering replacing my bypass valve soon and have questions regarding the install while leaving the supercharger/manifold on the engine. Were you able to get feeler gauges in there to make the adjustments on the actuator rod, even without removing the supercharger? Or can I just slap on the new vacuum actuator and leave the bracket untouched?

Had my Edelbrock on for about 3 months now and it hasn’t consistently given me boost when I want it, sometimes nothing even happens regardless of how quickly or slowly I tip into the throttle. Really hoping this is an easy bolt on once I get the AC unit off.

After removing the above I laid a large sheet down between the engine and the bottom of the supercharger so if I dropped any bolts/nuts from the bypass/bracket they didn't fall into the abyss of the engine. I'd consider this approach significantly easier than removing the supercharger, your mileage may vary.
Just replied to a way older post before seeing this. I’ll ask the same question though—did you have space to make the actuator rod adjustments with feeler gauges? Or did you just leave the bracket and only replace the vacuum actuator? Based on the fact that my symptoms line up with a lot of these bad bypass valve posts, I’m thinking I want to try replacing it soon.

Hi guys,

I installed my kit a few months ago and have a question about the MAP wiring harness. It has two extra plugs that I don't know what they are for. can anyone explain what are they for? thanks

its a combo MAF and MAP harness you need to connect both sensors to that. It takes the temp sensor from the MAF and transfers it to the MAP instead. The install guide has where to connect them

Well I didn't think I'd be having to ask this but for sanity check the bypass valve should hold a vacuum correct... I've been thinking something was up lately with just minor drivability issues and I finally got around to checking for vacuum leaks. Sprayed carb clean at anything that I could think would leak and nothing. For Shitsandgigs I figured let's check the valve and it doesn't even try to hold a vacuum. It's the updated valve that has been in the car for the last year and a half/20k and has been flawless until now. Guess I really should've installed that relocation kit I got from BT a while back

Thanks again @FrickingReallySlow and @Brewster. Now that I'm thinking about it, it was tuned without the MAF being connected to the harness. By connecting like it's supposed to, will that affect the tune in any way?

thanks. I did soon after writing my post in here. Yes, it affected the tune a bit and got it revised/resolved.

How did your tuner get away with tuning it without the MAF being connected? They should've seen that in the logs.
