I'll likely plug in the oil temp/pressure during another test this summer when it's hot and humid. That that doesn't bring higher temps, I'd cut out a few of the blowers.
This is to the benefit of the cooler that comes from factory, which is a great piece honestly. For the 99% DD'ers out there, this should be plenty sufficient for keeping temps in check. And based on your data, these temps provide a good oil pressure.

It's not dogma if the standard is knowing the temperature of the oil going into the engine.

As soon as you measure temps after the oil pump, filter, bearings, etc... it has been influenced. You might say, 'but I want to know if component X, Y, or Z, is too hot or, going you fail? Which when done correctly has pressure and temp sensors on every bearing where it's possible, and that is done on engine dynos with engine development phases, but is hugely impractical on a vehicle that gets drive. The other side of that, is you'd have data and nothing to compare it to for understanding if it's normal or out of range.

If you want THAT kind of data for engine health feedback, be familiar with the materials that are in your engine and have an oil analysis done (at intervals that are appropriate for your application) to see when something starts to prematurely wear, or has worn excessively.

I'm not saying there's no merit to knowing the temp going in, but having another data point can give you a vector, which is to your advantage.

But you can't have a vector without a starting point, which you don't have, no one else has, and it's one data point out of dozens.

You'd still be better off sending out oil samples where there's LOTS of data points and history to compare to.

Here's another point of reference. These have been on for an auto-X event as well as some aggressive mtn road driving in 90° temps. While these are stickers and not a lab rated sensor, they do work quite well. Hottest indicated dash temp was ~230°. I put one on the sump too and will monitor.

Dang, that IS a heartbreaker dyno! I got you added to the list, officially #30. You are the first one I've found under 200whp! Dropped the average just below 215, haha.

I'm going through the list now trying to add dyno manufacturers, I'll make a post once I have as many as I can find.

Yes, it is. Knowing that, I was expecting ~185, but was pleasantly surprised

Here's another filter pic after a 1,200 mile road trip to Wicked Big Meet in CT. A lot of stop-n-go traffic, where you might expect underhood temps to influence oil temps...

What's your conclusion?

I can't see the picture to formulate my own, unfortunately.

Do you have any data on track oil temps/pressures data yet?

During his road trip, oil temps never exceeded 210F even in a lot of stop and go traffic. As per the temp sensitive stickers that was applied onto the oil filter.

Don't waste money on an oil cooler if you never, or occasionally, track your car.

Just from Auto-X, which can sometimes be worse than a road coarse as you're in staging a lot and the speeds are so low the cooling system never really catches a break.

So do you have any conclusion if the FA24 have the same low pressure issues as the FA20 at high oil temps?

Thanks.
