Wheel Style Preference

I like the original face profile on the 17s:

17X7.5 ET30

Edit; I don’t know why my pictures come out with the contrast way up like that and the black point raised. They don’t look like that before uploading them to tapatalk.

Lol you know the older demographic 9f the forum bc nobody voted for deep lip 3pc wheels. Flow formed Monoblock for me, but I genuinely just enjoy wheels in general, I like em all. Particularly super deep concave, when the angle is just right.

If you dont like this we cant be friends

it's just unfortunate that we can't do super-deep wheels like that without resorting to wider body kits that imo, hack up the lines of the car more than they tend to help...

Huge fan of concave rims. Loved the Work Emotion Kiwami on the FRS.

Love the 437M wheels on my M4.

Eye of the beholder, yes.

Limited Edition rim tip number 1.

It took me about 6 months to find original 17 x 8 rims for my SS.

And it cost a packet.

Why care about this you may ask....well, the original rims were throw away items when people went aftermarket, now, new rims cost $1k each, and a used (mint) set of 4 just cost me $700.

So, if you are removing your OEM wheels for some shiny aftermarket wheels, keep the OEM ones somewhere in the back shed.

Someone like me will buy a twin in 10 years time and want them to replace the boy racer rims someone put on the car with some nice OEM items.

And WTF is it with people getting 19" rims on street cars, does ride quality mean nothing??

Meh.

Disclaimer: I couldn't swap out my 2015 STI OEM rims quick enough for some RS05RR rims, the OEM rims were a bitch to clean.

Lets talk about wheels some more

Watanabe continues to be one of my favorite wheels. what i like most about it is how concave the daisy spokes are. i think these wheels look much better in small diameter. the same lip/concave on a 17in wheel will just look more flat, but on a 16in/15in the wheel looks like a freaking tunnel, which i like

@dadbrz by far my favorite stockbody build. notice the jdm toms

seemilgly flat 17in which i dont like as much
