Cadillac ATS & ATS-V
I've been waiting to see this car for literally years now and here it is. intitially I wasn't too impressed with the exterior design, but after a few days of gawking I like it.
the highlight for me are the headlights where the stretch to the middle of the wheel on the hood making the most, visually, of the cars length even though it's not bigger than an F30 3er. the interior looks pretty compact, which for this class is to be expected and believe it or not I'm not too worried about fitting behind the steering wheel. American cars for the most part tend to be fairly roomy until you start getting into Vette's and the now defunct Pontiac Solstice/ Saturn Sky [u2b]Soz-ovjeqS4[/u2b] [u2b]KUpEo6AUCpk[/u2b] [u2b]ICNxshUSm1k[/u2b]

An ATS-V, if it ever happens, might kick ass in that segment. Even a regular 6MT ATS might be interesting. From what little I know about these, the interior fit and finish is supposed to finally be on par with the rest of the world.

And they would definitely have a spot for it seeing as the ATS is supposed to be Cadi's answer to The C300, 3 Series, and A4. A ATS-V could do battle with the C63 AMG and M3 (Audi stopped building RS4's )

Valvetronic, VVT, VVT-i, VVT-iE, VVEL, VTEC... and on and on. As a matter of fact something like five manufacturers use the acronym VVT: GM, Toyota, Sazuki, Volkswagen, (Vauxhall doesn't count because they're GM, and Renault doesn't count because Toyota does their VVT for them), Volve uses CVVT. And so on |

If it's as nice and fun as they say, and it comes in under $40k by a decent amount, I'll shop this right along side the BRZ. Test drives are going to be fun this year.

Is this the new Cimarron?
(re-badged Cavalier, one of GM's darker/dumber moments...)

I like it. Supposedly it handles better than the 3 series, with more steering feedback. Hope they're right...

Guys i was watching the cadillac ats commercial and fell in love with that road, anybody have any idea where i could find a road like that in the good old US of A? I feel like loading my car intro my trailer and hitting a few mountain roads on my next vacation.

I'm pretty sure those roads are not in the USA, so you might be trailering your FR-S a long way. Look for a nice mountainpass. I've hear good things about the Blue Ridge parkway http://www.nps.gov/blri/index.htm Personally I've rolled the PCH (Pacific Coast Highway) in California and it absolutely blows my mind. |
