In profile it looks a lot like the last gen BMW 3 series to me. That is not a bad thing.
Is this going to be sold in NA? Not that I would buy one, I am just wondering.

To me it looks like a m3 mixed with a maserati.
Hopefully they sell, I'm interested in what else ALFA has in store. Start/stop button on the steering wheel? why? The holes in the hood too. I guess twin turbo. |

I want it, I have no reason to want it, it has shown me nothing that objectively can't be done better or cheaper by another car, but I want it. Stupid Top Gear insinuating their lust for Alfa's on impressionable youths.
Yes, Alfa is targeting to move 400,000 units/year within like 3 years or something absurd, the U.S. is part of that. |

Do want. It makes a great noise, it's extremely striking, it comes in stick. And when it goes up in flames, I'll use the insurance money on an ATS-V sedan.

I've seen quite a few Alfas here in Japan. If it means I can get a RHD, manual, RWD sedan, consider my curiosity piqued. That interior is damn sexy. But if it's going to cost BMW 3-series money anyway, I'd rather have an Inline-6 instead of a V6 engine.

No they don't. The Honda looks cleaner.

I don't like that Honda dash. Something about the symmetry is totally off. I don't know if it that every vent opening is a different shape or the head unit or the extra part of the dash above the tach but I don't like it and would not like looking at it every day..

I personally really like the looks of this sedan, both interior and exterior. Very Jaguar-ish looking too - not a bad thing. But the back - at first glance, looks like a Q50.
I am not old enough to remember the old alfas and their reliability but if I had the means and want to stand out from the crowd of M3s, C65 and ATS-Vs, this would be a good choice. |

Both layouts suck for different reasons but now I see that pointy non-feng shui aspect of the honda.
The knobs on the center console of the Alfa would drive me insane. That's right where I rest my hand between lazy shifts.

With a base 3 at <$30k and an M3 ~$60k seems reasonable, I mean as reasonable as it gets for a 'luxury sports sedan'. Here's hoping the Italians retain their reputation for build quality for the next 10 years despite having actually fixed it and in 5 years we can pick these suckers up like Maserati's for WRX money. |

Wantwantwantwantwantwantwant.
Much more interesting than the usual suspect competitors (your BMW, Benz, Audi, etc.). And the fact that it's Italian just makes every drive that much more exciting.... like "will I make it all the way to work today without a breakdown?" Sounds great, looks beautiful - seems like it'll be a great option for those who have the money... |
