The way I read this, I don't like the unnecessary extra fluff of it. I also read that I said my mind could be changed if it performs well. I guess we read into it what we want. I withdraw now, the floor is yours. Have a great day!

Can be, but if done properly it will make tons of power. Most people simply don't have the money for it.

If you want more torque and power, you get a twin turbo setup in a seqential series.

A small turbo that spools very quickly like a TD04 billet, or a BW 6258. Then have that feed into the larger turbo like a GT30R or if youre ballsy a GT35R Or larger.

Then comes the awesome fun of tuning that pile of wheels and sheet metal.

What you're describing is a compound turbo setup, not a sequential. Sequential turbo setups run two of the same size turbo and work by diverting all exhaust gasses into one turbo and then opening it up to both for top end.

IMO I think Cosworth's unit isn't attractive...Performance-wise we'll wait for enigma to chime in the Cosworth thread after he gets dyno'd.

E-Force - I think the top of the manifold looks VERY different from their other units. Looks almost like a fuse between LFA's engine cover and a flipped FT-1 concept engine. As for performance & cooling, I won't assume but hope the IC core is close to as wide as that manifold.

I though I was the only one... Cosworth's unit looks like it's made of clay or something, it just looks like a big lump sitting on top of the engine. TRD was the same, but it's because they didn't aim to make the casting good looking. I also feel the same about the full blown manifold...

The thing I like is the forward facing throttle body instead of looping around the engine bay.

I don't think they are trying to make the engine look like a V8.... in any way shape or form.

If you can make something functional, AND pleasing to look at, why not!?!?!

Also, these are just leaked photos at this point, we have no idea what the actual kit will look like or perform like.

It's not really "leaked" since it's Edelbrock posting the pictures.

Fair enough, but its not a final design and it isn't really showing exactly whats under the cover.

Some of those covers on other kits can be completely removed.

So from what I can tell the Cosworth uses the stock TB and the stock TB is a 65 mm unit which people have made 400+ bhp with (unclear on whp).

From what I've seen regarding the Edelbrock E-Force kits they include an 85 mm TB and higher flow fuel injectors (and I'm assuming a fuel rail?).

It will be interesting to see what the complete kit includes and what are the numbers.

The Cosworth setup doesn't necessarily look like the performance is bad, but it seems to be around $6500 and I have no idea what the warranty or other included part are.

The only Edelbrock system that includes the 85mm TB is for the 05 - 10 Mustang, according to the pictures this one looks to use the factory TB...

I was able to take a tour of their building today. Snapped a few photos too.

One of the tour guides said they are tuning it now, but it seems like it might still be a while before it is released.
He said it is making around 300hp.

That looks awesome. I am really curious to see some more shots of their intake system as well.
