Does anyone have suggestions on an anime, that fits the following criteria (I know, I'm crazy)-

1.No character that is focused on boobs/females in general like the bubble head guy in My Hero Academia or Kon from Bleach

2. Very little fanservice

3. Good story

My real goal is to find another anime that I can binge with my wife. We love 80s and 90s anime like Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, and some newer ones like Fate Stay Night. Fate is by far the most recent anime we've watched. Most others have a tendency to try so hard with the humor and make the characters obnoxious (Even Fate is guilty of this with Ms. Taiga).

Hunter x Hunter is on my list already, but I'm slightly put off by the main character. Also not into extreme anime like Baki. We also like Fruits Basket and Clannad, slice of life type anime, but this genre specifically is hard to find without it being fanservice oriented. The amount of anime I have tried has been extremely limited, so I'm sure someone will have a few that may fit well, I'm asking because I'm not that patient to go and watch the first 5 episodes of 50+ animes.

I have Netflix and Hulu services, which also limits this quite a bit.

Thanks in advance!

I don't know much about anime, but did think of this thread when I saw the press release from BigScreen that they were bringing anime to VR.

If you don't know, BigScreen is a service for VR that shows movies in a virtual theatre where you can gather with your friends, or the general public, to watch movies, events, etc. I've watched a couple of 30 minute type shows in it, not sure I could do it for an entire movie.

Anime my wife likes includes, Death Note, FMA Brotherhood, Wotokoi: Love is hard for otaku, Aggretsuko. She hasn't seen Carole and Tuesday but that's another really good one.

Just started up Vinland saga. I'm really enjoying it as I can blow through a bunch of episodes. Viking era stuff.

I've also been watching black clover, but I'm caught up on that.

I've been using crunchy roll which has a huge variety of anime. Vinland saga is available on Amazon Prime.

Full metal Alchemist, fairy tail, attack on titan are worth looking into.
Edit bleach may be worth it too. There are a ton of episodes though, over 300 if memory serves me correctly. Dragon ball super/Z. Dragon Ball Kai is Z but 270 episodes condensed with less filler.

Fma and deathnote seem neat. I'll look into these! Is Aggretsuko really an anime? I guess that's me just being picky, I'm not a fan of American cartoons like family guy, southpark, Rick and Morty, etc.

Attack on Titan is one of our favorites. Bleach I don't mind, she hates it. Dragon ball Z we've watched ad nauseum. Fairy tale I'll look into!

Aggretsuko is very Japanese if that's what you are asking. I am also not particularly a fan of most American cartoons.

Also, I like the various Ghost in the Shell series. My wife doesn't like how the main character dresses but other than that it's pretty awesome IMO. One of my favorites at least.

DB super is worth checking out as well. You mentioned Z and not super, (not sure if that counts)
Vinland saga may interest you as well. I got sucked in and binged a bunch in the last two days.

I think #1 needs a "No" in front of it.
