Question New Fuel Pump Install (AEM)

Hey guys! Im trying to get second opinions on this... i just installed my new AEM fuel pump but my car wont start... I clearly hear the pump starting, all the fuses are good and i know its giving spark cause It turned on before putting the pump... So basically its not getting fuel but the pump is actually turning on... Any thoughts??

Pull a line off and see if fuel is actually building pressure

I just installed my new DW pump last week. I'm sure the procedure for yours will be similar.

Did you make sure to get the pump discharge properly seated using the O-ring(s) provided? I know the Deatchwerks pump included three O-rings in the kit along with some Superlube to lube the O-rings up with prior to inserting the new pump into the pump housing, but I actually used just one of them with the OEM spacer. If your pump discharge is not properly inserted into the housing you'll never build up the proper pressure you need.

Also, did you prime the fuel lines by turning the key (or press the button without trying to start the engine) on and off several times to eliminate any air in the lines?

Final question: Do you have enough fuel in your tank?

Remove fuel pump, double check your installation. Let us know what you find.

There's a very useful video on Youtube from FTSpeed about installing that same pump. I'd check it out.

So I took it apart and I placed the AEM fuel filter which is longer than the stock one so when the springs from the case compress as you put it in the tank they push the pump down and im thinking that pressure thats applied its making the filter go all the way down to the point where there's no gap between the filter so the fuel cant get in but idk

Don't all pumps work the same? You have to prime them first before they can operate? I remember there was a priming procedure of holding the gas pedal down to the floor and trying to start it. The engine won't start but the fuel will flow to the pump.
