If it's anything like the pre-20 mic's, you won't be able to use it. They have a strange amplification circuit that at best, gives crappy quality (assuming you can even get it to power on properly).

Even though this thread has gone off topic I’ll try to pull it back in with some information about the 2020 head unit. I purchased one. (Even though I’ll be told the aftermarket units are WAYY better, I like OEM parts)

Interesting find is that the head unit is backup camera compatible via the 24 pin plug which is where the FRS camera is already wired. This means 2020 models can simply route the camera feed from the mirror to the head unit if they would prefer the larger screen.

With the exception of the speaker/amp wiring which has been covered in this thread, the unit is plug and play compatible with my 2016 FRS RS2.0. I have tested the USB for CarPlay as well as the microphone, backup camera, headlights turning on dims the screen, etc. I have not found anything that doesn’t work as expected. The bad news is my vehicle came with an OEM Audio+ system installed and so I am unable to test that installing the amp bypass makes all the speakers work but hopefully in the next 1-2 days I will hear back from OEM Audio+ again and get my speakers all operational.

I’ll update this once I have this last bit ironed out. I will likely be putting one of these into my FJ Cruiser as well as it also has the 200mm opening.

Hello. I was wondering what your experience has been like these past few months? Is everything working as it should? Is your stock USB port just USB or USB+Aux? Looks like you got the car play to work, which is what i really want to add to my car. Like you, i prefer OEM parts as well. I don't know if you figured out the amp but these are the instructions from Toyota. http://toyotaparts.sparkstoyota.com/...190-20inst.pdf

Thank you
