Series.Yellow Meet Pothole.

GF hit a pothole, GA I-75 is just smooth like that, and damaged her stock wheel on the S.y. Anyone know what the correct part number is for a new stocker ? No local wheel repair shop says they can adequately match the color.

Part number I've found are:

28111CA100 - which is Gun metallic 17x7.5 +48
28111CA090 - which is SP BLACK HIGHLUSTER 17x7.5 +48
28111CA070 - which is Gun metallic 17x7 +48

I ordered a *090, but the finish doesn't match. Essentially, a darker Gunmetal colored wheel. It's not S.y. black at all.

Anybody know any other part numbers out there ? I tried searching out by vin online. Can't find any.

Did you try giving a dealer your VIN and asking for a part number? I think that is the best bet for a limited edition model.

The one you bought should be black for the Series.Yellow.

Do you have pictures comparing the two colors for the 28111CA090 part number?

DISK WHEEL-ALUMINIUM
Part Number: 28111CA090
17X7.5J OFF48
SP BLACK HIGHLUSTER

DISK WHEEL-ALUMINIUM
Part Number: 28111CA100

So I ordered the right part number, maybe I just got lucky and ended up with the wrong wheel. The headache continues, tire shop scratch every other wheel when mounting the PS4s today.

That definitely looks like the Gunmetallic 28111CA100 wheel. Should return it and have them look into it. There must've been a mix up.

Working with the parts department, we ordered the other opposing wheel in the catalog. 28111CA100 arrived in gloss black, funny.

i think subaru and toyota have a lot of part numbers wrong. the trd airbox manual as parts aa and ac listed as 1 and 2... you have to order the opposite part to get what you want. just went thru this. its a bitch.

Can you PM me and clarify which part number you ordered that turned up as grey and which part number you ordered that turned up as black? I'll get that info over to who can fix that in our system.

Pep Boys in Kennesaw jacked the lips of each wheel they touched.

Subaru of Kennesaw did it without damaging anything visible.

28111CA100 - which is Gun metallic 17x7.5 +48 (******* the black wheel used on the Series.Yellow)

28111CA090 - which is SP BLACK HIGHLUSTER 17x7.5 +48 (****** the dark grey wheel)

28111CA070 - which is Gun metallic 17x7 +48
(standard wheel)

Ok, good to know it wasn't a 'reputable' shop.
I already avoid Firestone & Pep Boys like the plague, from past experiences.

I've also found dealerships to be very good at not scratching anything on your car (unless you get a car wash) during any kind of service. They just never have the best deals when it comes to rims/tires.

So to clarify, CA100 shows gunmetal but is actually black, and CA090 shows black but is actually gunmetal, correct?

yes, that's correct. Why it's listed like that, no one knows.
