If your aim is to reduce weight, have a look at Endless calipers, they're lighter than AP Racing (and probably Brembo).

I don't have the figure for Brembo calipers, but a 6 pot AP Racing Caliper weighs about 3.7 kg while the basic 6 pot Endless caliper weighs 3.28 kg, 2.67 kg for a monobloc and 2.924 kg for a light version.

Have you looked at the weight of the rotor rings though?
For track driving, you generally want to the rotor ring to be as heavy as possible, along with the pads.

Have you ever heard of carbon/carbon or carbon/ceramic brake rotors?

Comparatively speaking.... lighter than iron counterparts yet greater heat capacity and dissipation

Yes, I haven't seen CCM brake for the twins, as for the 2 pieces, project mu has the 2 piece rotors for brembo calipers (performance package?)

Sure, but none of the options @teppey looked at were carbon/carbon or carbon/ceramic.

If we keep the material of the rotors constant (iron), one typically doesn't want to get lighter rotor rings.
Unless
a) your brakes are oversized to begin with (never happened to anybody, ever? )
b) we're talking about something like autox, where you don't have long braking zones, low-speed grip and acceleration are key, and unsprung mass might actually matter.

Hi S30. Thank you for adding a post. But that appears to be about Carbon brakes and those are way above my pay grade. My earlier questions were just about lighter brakes that had equal performance to stock or, of course, curious if there were some a little better than stock. But not all the way to carbon rotors.

Okay, thank you. Before driving a Miata, I was interested in Miatas. They have a maker of very light brakes, if I remember correctly, which is absolutely suspect. Anyway, I wondered if there was one for BRZ's. Hopefully one day, but not a deal breaker as far as buying a car.

Just a side thing, but CCM brakes absolutely suck in real life abuse. Sure they wear decently better and have no/little fade, but the brake rotors are just stupid expensive lol. Porsche guys don’t even run them on track.
