Garage
The car left the garage for the first time in a little over a month, haha. Still need to do some tweaking on the camber to get the fitment more to my liking, get the front a little lower and install some other odds and ends but it's almost ready to get an alignment.

Bagriders Superlow with P2M front LCA and rear LCA, UCA and toe arms.

Here's a lil video of the max range of the kit at my current setup. I can probably raise the car another few inches, still air out to the ground and lift more. Definitely a lot here.

I think that's what I prefer aesthetically. However, I'm a little concerned about the light output. Based the the videos I've seen the output is not significantly decreased. In fact, the blinkers in back seem to be brighter than the brake lights from the factory, and the overlays bring them down to the same brightness level based on the video I saw.
Correct! There's almost no light loss from the turn signal, and the sidemarker is still plenty visible at night. Definitely do it. Driven.media has a nice lil pack at a good price too if you want to support Kevin!

Finally got my APEX Racing VS-5RS wheels that I ordered in July.

Got some hood struts for Christmas so I installed those yesterday

Installed an HKS Spec L II catback. I would have gone with the regular spec L (a few db louder) but the L II tips look much nicer and are swappable.

Pretty happy with it. Sounds way better than stock despite it still being on the quiet side. However, this makes me much less worried about installing headers and being too loud/obnoxious

In person, the exhaust tone is much deeper than how it sounds on most video clips

this one
Code:

is probably the most accurate representation).

Cold start is noticeably louder but nothing crazy. Once the rpms drop it's actually hilariously quiet

Nice, I have the premium Legamax axelback premium. While it is not that loud it is much much better thank stock, and it allowed me to turn off the fake sounds and enjoy the engine.

Threw on SPC 81305 camber bolts over the weekend. Swapped the lower bolts into the top holes for additional camber. Couple of notes:

- The SPC bolts I used were brand new but I couldn’t seat the nuts by hand. There was a ton of resistance in the first 1/3 of the thread (estimate around 10 ft-lbs to spin it through with a socket wrench). It took so much force the nuts actually heated up. It loosened up progressively after that towards the middle of the thread and took the full 97 ft-lbs so I’m not too worried. I had a set of SPC upper bolts on my 1st gen and didn’t run into this issue. Strange.

- I used a 3mm spacer in the front to try to clear my Apex ARC-8’s (17x9 +42; 235/40/17) on stock suspension. Clearance was fine but I only got 4.5 full turns on the lug nuts. I tried my Wedssport TC105n (17x8 +42; 235/40/17) and got 7.5 turns on the nuts. I guess the Apex wheels have a thicker center plate, not sure. Given this, I’ll probably switch to a single camber bolt + Pedders camber top hat in the future to fit my Apex wheels.

-Spacers were from Stancemagic (don’t laugh). Only ~$20 on Amazon and they’re hubcentric. Pretty good quality, no vibrations I could feel up to around 85 mph.

- The amount of camber from this setup is pretty impressive. Visually it looks close to the -2.8 degrees I was running on my 1st gen. I’d estimate somewhere between -2 to -2.5 degrees. My understanding is that toe doesn’t change in the front much with camber, so will probably drive like this for a while and see how it feel before aligning it.

I had similar experience with those same camber bolts last week, the locking nut was pretty darn tight.

With stock wheels I was getting ~10 turns on my Eibach studs (10mm extended and 10m spacer) but I'll check again with the APEX wheels. I get like 8 turns with my Enkeis.

I also have stancemagic spacers to put on the car, they're really nicely made and no complaints.

Toe *barely* changed on my car going from -4.5 to -4.8, like 1/64th of an inch or so.

Lots of dev work going here, so we swapped back to our Street Rat muffler delete for more testing.

For those who miss the feeling of a bite point in the clutch pedal, the mtec clutch spring is a pretty good mod. Installation is a total nightmare though, I'm not a big person (5'11") but I had to remove the driver seat to get in there and swap it out.
