I just saw this video and the launch was brutal I must admit

After seeing this I must admit it's looking like a 9 second pass even if I cant see the board I'm inclined to go with it. You guys have been pretty stand up about your racing and I know how hard it is to race a car and video. Congrats on the record and setting the bar!!! I now have a target
Now where is that n/a 13.32 video

Please don't be offended, as I am not questioning your ethics or integrity. I just wanted everything equal I have said it 1000 times I respect what you guys do and enjoy the competition we just need to post videos of the same nature to avoid what we have here now.

I guess its the price we pay for being the top two fastest fa20's

Hey Justin, thanks for being fair. We tried to keep the drivetrain stock, but we broke the trans three times. Once on the dyno once on the street and once at the track. We also broke a driveshaft shop cv joint on a launch. So we went with the sequential since we wanted to build a time attack car anyway.
When we saw the 138 and 139 trap speeds on some of our passes we knew we had a 9sec capable car. Rather than increasing the stress on our engine we decided to work on the launch control strategy and suspension setup. After many tries it finally happened and having fulfilled our goal we left the track.
When you did your 13.4 seconds you had a 13.3sec capable car, your trap speed shows it. If you are trapping 140 now you have a 9second car. Work on your launch and find the traction and pray to God it will happen on a stock drivetrain. Good luck.

When I watched your professional video the launch didn't look near as fast as the cell phone I was blown away by the cell phone video for sure. We both been doing this along time and seen it all...lol We know what it takes and paid the price to get it where it is today....So with all the respect I have for you guys the fairness comes too. I am sure if the roles were reversed and I said I ran a time you would be just as fair too, as we both have shown the same level of respect and we both have earned it.

I also feel like a trans setup like that is on the same level of a motor swap.

It's not. They sell the car with two different transmissions.

Ya but the one they are using is a manual and automatic all rolled into one and as much as 25k for certain units. So your transmission will cost as much as the car if you go all out...

Well, here is a picture from the Race Track's facebook, you guys can also find it at facbook under "Salinas Speedway".

We'll work tomorrow Monday on some good pictures from our shop car.

Unfortunatelly the day of the 9 seconds pass, we went without our video guy, we just have footage from our gopros, and AiM in cam camera. One of our guys has a iphone video, but we can't upload it from the phone. We'll upload tomorrow.

Have a great weekend.
Awesome thanks, I can respect that! Also, in the video of the full pass the car looked much better! I look forward to hopefully beating your world record this summer.... I may just have to get TH350 now haha

Maybe it's just me, but I dont see a roll cage. What are the rules for running a car at the track in Puerto Rico? Fuel cell? Cage? Etc. Im not entirely sure what the rules are state side but Im pretty sure you need to run a cage.

You're right, there's no cage. We can't go back without a cage. Rules are NHRA. The track is NHRA certified.

This was what I was asking about before! If a NHRA certified track is making the statement that it is the fastest then that is the "official sanctioning body" I was looking for. They will have access to any other existing times and the ability to compare legitimately recorded runs.
It may seem like splitting hairs since it is still just a Facebook post but it is no longer just a person and/or their buddies making the statement.

Nice work.
