Interesting. I thought it was an age thing. It makes more sense now because your driving is on point otherwise. You just suck at checking your own six. All that big shot Army life spoiled you.

You only need to check your 6 if you let things get behind you.

Yep, you're right. However, sometimes I would drive my jeep, when my driver was asleep. My first sergeant would bring up the rear of the formation to police up the stuff I backed into (that's the reason his uniform was dusty).

You might want to start if not.
Can't carry here, but honestly not really a fan of owning one. May need to figure something out, though. On night time walks I take my flashlight, which gets incredibly bright and has a seizure (aka strobe/hyperflash) mode, which I'm sure would be very effective.

Haven't noticed anything on the local pages.

I have had several people and kids come up to us on walks to either discuss cryptocurrency because $DOGE / $SHIBA or ask me how much I paid for Haru _eyeroll_.

Second off, ask yourself if it's YOU or your DOG that is attracting the creepy people? Do an experiment, take the same route by yourself and see if anything happens.

Question, do you dress the same way on your walks? -
Hey some days just blur together the past couple years!!

Very likely the dog. Usually if I take walks on the shorter routes by myself I don't get any attention.

Dress the same way as Haru? No, I refrain from wearing the old birthday getup when out and about.

Same way from day to day? I guess so, generally the same jacket and similar pairs of pants.

Maybe some crazy person site has some meme about people walking dogs being the devil or something.

This is why it is never a good idea to open carry. Makes you the first target for bad guys. Deep concealed is the way to go.

That's why you carry concealed and if they persist and you feel personally threatened, fire the warning shot through their forehead.

And a guy carries an AR into a walmart in El Paso, kills a couple of dozen people, walks out, and drives off.

A fair number of them good 'ol boys that talk a lot about being "Texas Tough" ain't even California tough. They're plain 'ol backwoods pussies.
