It's just marinated grilled pork, shredded carrots, cilantro, pickled daikon/white onion, Vietnamese mayo, and jalapeņos on Vietnamese style baguette.

Are you a cilantro hater?

Posting this so tomorrow you guys can hold me accountable on posting a pic of my filipino chicken adobo, if it turns out right. I made it tonight but the recipe I'm using recommends fridging it overnight to mellow the vinegar/saltiness.

Tonight's dinner, chicken (legs) adobo:

Yes yes light on the veggies :eye_roll!:

:P

I used this recipe but added 1 TBSP of sugar because I think I've had slightly sweet + tangy adobo in the past.

It turned out really good! I kept the liquid from last night and today tried reducing it into a sauce. I should've reduced it a lot further and maybe added corn starch slurry, but it was still great on the rice.

Intriguing brown stains in the rice... I wonder if 'don't eat yellow snow' applies? BTW, you mean chicken leg? Not "legs"...

Lol the brown on the rice was the sauce like I mentioned. And I made multiple chicken legs :P only took a photo of one of them.

On Christmas I borrowed (aka stole) my mom's blender since she hasn't used it in like 10+ years.

First thing I decided to make with it is salsa verde:

This pic is before I remembered to add the cilantro I got (:facepalm. And also before I added just a teeny bit too much water to thin it out a little.

I suggest you clean that blender up and give it back to your mom.

Ya know, they sell salsa verde in grocery stores -

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
