Question OFT/OFH3 with Perrin 2.75" Intake?

I will be installing the OFH and OFT combo soon, and I was wondering if the OTS tunes will work with anything other than the stock airbox.

It says in the release notes they won't, but I have heard the Perrin 2.75" MAF scaling is not far enough from stock to make a difference.

I'm a tuning noob so excuse my inexperience, but do I need to find a custom tune for Openflash headers + the Perrin intake? And if so, how do I find that?

Thanks!

EDIT: I have read this thread; http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64790, but am unsure of how to apply this info. It has an Excel(?) file at the end for 2.75" MAF scale, would I need to apply this in RomRaider to my tune before applying?

2.75” is the standard (stock) MAF housing diameter so you shouldn’t *need* to rescale MAF. But you may see some benefit from it of course.

Shiv, will the OFH3 overpipe be sold separately by any chance?

Hi,
The OFH3 overripe is not modular. It connects to the OFH manifold (and only to the OFH manifold) using a slip joint and clamp. So it cannot used with another other header (OFH/OFH2 included).

The OFH3 overpipe "makes slightly more power due to eliminating the restriction in the kinked factory over-pipe."
I would guess you could get one from a different manufacturer as well that would do this.

Perrin's 2.75" intake actually runs very slightly rich on the stock MAF calibration until LTFT kicks in, so it's quite safe.
