OFT issue after reading ECU
OK Guys, I just got an OFT. Car is a 2105 FRS automatic. I have a Perrin catback, FT86 catted UEL header and a K&N in the stock airbox. Hooked up the OFT last night and married it to the car. Then I simply read the factory ECU into the OFT. Got up this morning and started the car. CEL came on. I’ve been running the header for about 250 miles prior to this with no CEL. Cruise light is on and no longer works. Car seems to be shifting harder also. Haven’t read code yet since I was headed for work. I did disconnect the OFT from the OBD port with the key on . I wonder if that messed up coms with the transmission ECU? Can I simply just clear the code? I’m gonna flash to stage 2 but it will be this weekend before I can get to it. Or would disconnecting the battery be the way to go? Any suggestion would be appreciated. And thanks for all the info you guys post here. I have learned A LOT on this forum from you guys.

Not unusual to trip a P0700 or U0155 code after flashing an auto car. Read the code if it one of those just clear it

If you disconnected the OFT with the key still on then that would cause the issue.
Just connect your OFT and go to trouble codes and clear the code/s Then turn the key off, wait until OFT screen goes blank and disconnect it. TLDR:If you pull the plug on the OFT while key/motor is on you will get a code and may go in to limp mode |

I bet it’s a cat code, I’ve had that header and it popped for me as well.

It was a P0700 code. I got it cleared. Thanks for the replies. I appreciate it.
