Thanks for the info re: trunk swapping. I Youtubed it, and yes, seems a bit lengthier than I'd hoped, though not impossible for a non-gearhead like me.

As for removing the spoiler altogether, which definitely seems like the easiest/most convenient option: My goal would be to have the standard spoiler for daily driving, rather than no spoiler, as I've never really liked the 86 profile sans spoiler. I suppose I could take off the wing, install the standard spoiler, and swap the rubber plugs and wing/spoiler for HDPE days.

Another thought I had was to consider adding a wiring harness so that it'd be more "plug-n-play," but that seems like too much work, too...

I've gotten a couple of MSRP offers from dealers in LA...

You would have to hack a ton of the inner fender shroud and the spots on the bumper too cause it's not just a hole like you think.

If you have it in writing, you should generally be ok. Dealerships are probably realizing there’s not that many people willing to pay markup at this point.

I got a great deal on a 95 RX7 which I just couldn't refuse. I would have loved to have the tS though.

Well my check engine light came on today and I'm at around 750 miles. Has anyone else had issues?

Not sure I don't have a reader. Guess I'll be spending my Saturday at the stealership...

I've just had the v-bars clunking. I don't know if the loud valve noise while idling is just an 86 thing or if my car is just noisy, it's made the noise since I picked it up with 6 miles.
It currently has 2,780.

No chirps or squeaks, just valve clatter from the engine bay.

The sti v-bars are not the best of their designs. They are known to give sometimes a clunking noise and the rubber was changed to black , because the white was getting a brownish burned color and it didn't look nice. Some members preferred to buy instead of these bars the flexible tower bar.
