So in my scenario, the screen is cracked causing the images to appear distorted. I would imagine the touch screen is still functional? At first I didn't realize they were two separate things.

Would it be easy enough to only replace the screen?

Just completed my screen replacement and everything works perfectly now! Big thanks to @Subie_Nubie for the detailed instructions!

The two parts below are perfect plug-n-play replacements:

UMSH-8252MD-T (Screen)
https://www.mouser.com/productdetail...iYaSfBKA%3D%3D

TS-TFT3.5Z (Touch Panel)
https://www.digikey.com/product-deta....5Z-ND/2626417

If your screen breaks, it's best you buy both replacement parts above. If only the touch screen breaks, you can get away with just buying a replacement touch panel.

I made an album of my process here:

For people who have a OFT v2, there is a screen that will be a direct plug and play without ordering the screen in mass amounts. Recently saw a thread about the website adifruit and thought I’d give it a try.

http://www.adafruit.com/product/1591

This is a 4.3” tft display and I plugged it in and it worked, saved me $500 and the screen was only $36. Hope this helps for the people who have a cracked OFT v2.

Bump for this got mine in about 4 Days. Direct plug and play. I been stuck on E85 for 6 months( not the worst thing in the world) cause I wasn't sure about the site, opening the oft and product being the right item cause of lack of info. But had a few extra dollar and went for it. Thanks for the info and everyone contribution of info and finds.
